A home-cooked food marketplace, built and run end to end

Three React Native apps — customer, cook and driver — on a fully serverless AWS backend, connecting home chefs with customers and coordinating live delivery between them.

The problem

Home cooks had no way to sell meals beyond word of mouth, and there was no single platform coordinating menus, orders, payments and delivery between cooks, customers and drivers in real time.

What we built

• ▸Customer app: browse daily menus by city, order, pay, and track delivery live
• ▸Cook app: publish daily menus and slots, manage orders and payouts
• ▸Driver app: accept deliveries, navigate, and update status in real time
• ▸Serverless backend: one Lambda per operation, EventBridge for order/notification workflows, DynamoDB for orders, menus and payouts
• ▸Razorpay payments and WhatsApp OTP authentication across all three apps

Outcome

• ✓Live in production with real chefs, customers and drivers
• ✓Fully serverless, pay-per-use architecture that scales to zero between meal windows
• ✓One codebase per role lets customer, cook and driver apps ship independently
